Activities developed by the certification body

In accordance with the applied (regulated or non-regulated) certification system, applied procedures and/or clients’ requirements, assessment can suppose one or more of the following activities:

• assessment of project/documentation;
• assessment of product performances (partial inspections or type examinations on one or more new sample, including lots or used products);
• assessment of manufacturing processes;
• assessment and/or approval of quality system documents.

Activities developed by the certification body in the scientific research area and specialty services focused on the following objectives:

• Scientific substantiation and methodological development of the conformity and certification assessment system for work equipment and personal protective equipment to determine the model’s conformity with the applicable standards;
• Substantiation and development of instruments of conformity assessment, certification, inspection, technical diagnosis and putting into conformity for work equipment and personal protective equipment;
• Applicative studies and researches on providing safety of work equipment and personal protective equipment;
• Development of safety and health at work prescriptions for activities and national industries not covered by the European Directives;
• Development of guides of good practice on design, manufacture and use of work equipment and personal protective equipment;
• Specialty services for economic agents related to conformity assessment and certification of work equipment and personal protective equipment, inspection, technical diagnosis, and putting them into conformity;
• Specialty services for economic agents in Romania and abroad on conformity assessment, certification, inspection, technical diagnosis and putting into conformity of the work equipment under CST safety mark.
